Soldiers Angels pairs volunteers here at home with U.S. military troops across the globe. Many of our soldiers have no family support system back home to keep their spirits high. SA connects them with families here that send them letters and care packages to let them know they are not forgotten and that their efforts are greatly appreciated. We have been happy to provide this support and mentorship going on twenty years.
We have been onsite over ten years assisting teachers, providing meals and performing office/handyman work. We also help take the children to church services weekly and go on educational field trips. Precious Lamb is a Long Beach based Christian Preschool for homeless children. PLP provides mothers with a chance to pursue opportunities in work or education while their children are learning in a safe, loving environment with nutritious meals.
CASA OC is an Orange County based non-profit organization partnering with the foster care system. Kevin is a Court Appointed Special Advocate trained by CASA OC to assist children in the overwhelming environment of foster care. Kevin provides mentorship and friendship while also integrating with social workers, case managers, judges, lawyers, teachers, doctors and foster parents/group homes.
